Electronic Cigarette Facts

Electronic cigarettes are fairly new gadgets that have been out on the market since 2002.  They were invented in China.  Sales of these products have been soaring for the past two years.  The interesting fact about e cigarettes is that you “smoke” them, but then you really don’t.  What is actually produced by an ecig is vapor and not smoke.  If there is no smoke, then you are not smoking, but rather, “vaping”. This is why they are often referred to as smokeless cigarettes. Electronic cigarettes are actually highly technical nicotine delivery systems.  They deliver nicotine to the user through the inhaling of vapors which contain exact amount of nicotine and flavor.  Nicotine levels can be adjusted from pack-to-pack or even from cigarette-to-cigarette.  This product offers many available flavors to choose from such as: chocolate, strawberry, and even tobacco. This type of cigarette does not produce smoke so they can be used almost anywhere without running the risk of breaking any smoking bans because there is no harmful smoke being created.  Electronic cigarettes have eliminated all the tar and thousands of harmful chemicals they are found in regular tobacco cigarettes smoke.

Electric cigarettes are normally consists of a plastic or metal tube.  They can be made to look either like a real cigarette, or they come in various assorted colors.  Smokeless cigarette consist of two parts.  The long cylinder end houses a battery (looks like the paper end of a normal cigarette).  The second part is the cartridge that contains the nicotine, flavors, water, and atomizer.  The atomizer is a heating element that vaporizes the water and mixes it with the nicotine and flavor to produce vapors that are inhaled.  These devices do not burn so they do not create burning heat and ash.

These products are extremely popular for three reasons.  First, they are much healthier for individuals to use because of the reduction in harmful chemicals that are ingested.  Second, they do not create first or second hand smoke and are not subject to smoking bans.  Third, they are cost effective and cost less than the normal pack of cigarettes.
